This 48-hr National Maker Competition will take place September 9-11th, is organized by Make48 and hosted by Maker Playground.
Teams are presented with a challenge from this year's challenge sponsor, Corteva Agriscience, and must draft a solution, design a model, and create a physical prototype within a consecutive 48-hr period. At the end of the competition, teams will create a sales sheet and presentation producing a 1-minute marketing video to pitch their idea to the panel of judges. This year's Challenge Theme is "Food Preservation & the Supply Chain: Food at the right place, at the right time".
Teams have a chance to win $2000 and advanced to compete in the nationals in March 2023! Teams must consist of 2-4 people and no industry, or manufacturing experience is required, all it takes is one good idea! This competition is equipped with "tool techs" who are experts in their field and will operate all machinery for each team to complete their prototypes. (Teams can consist of adults & minors; only limitation is 1 adult must be on each team that has a minor as a competitor.)
If you're interested in competing in this year's Make48 hosted by Maker Playground, applications are LIVE and you can apply HERE. Applications close July 31!
