During art class you can choose from several different types of art applications taught by local and regional makers and artists. We're kicking off this Fall with several ways to explore and get your hands on new applications of traditional arts. From stained glass, eco-dying, and fashion design, Fishers Parks is providing new ways to get your creative gears cranking out new and inventive ideas. For kids and adults alike there are a variety of ways to create.
All Art Classes will take place in the Maker Labs at Fishers Parks Headquarters (8100 E 106th Street, Fishers, In 46038)
We will teach you how to “cut” glass, apply the copper foil, and solder your piece together. By the end of the class you will have your very own creation completed and ready to take home with you, and you may even have found a new hobby.
During this fun and informative class, anyone ages 14 and older, will get your hands on glass and learn the process of creating stained glass from start to finish, using the copper foil technique. This class is an opportunity for you to try something you’ve always wondered about without the need to purchase any equipment, tools or supplies, as we supply everything you will need to create your project. You don’t need any experience, just enthusiasm, and a willingness to try something new.
Choose from a wide-variety of textile art related classes taught by local artist and instructor, Cheryl Lo. The list below features eco-dying, sewing, fashion design, and even costume creating to give your hands a unique opportunity to explore how to manipulate fabric.
