Tree Nursery
The Fishers AgriPark tree nursery currently is growing 200 trees, which were planted in 2020 and 2021, and will be used by the city to replenish trees throughout Fishers’ parks, facilities, and roadways.
- A sycamore is a large-sized, deciduous tree. At maturity, it can grow to 50 to 120 feet tall. Leaves are a yellow-brown color in the fall, and the tree prefers full sun and moist soil.
A red maple is a medium-sized, deciduous tree. At maturity, it can be 40-70 feet tall. In the fall, leaves are usually a red color. This tree can be planted in full sun or part shade and prefers moist soil.
The sugar maple is a medium- to large-sized, deciduous tree. At maturity, it can grow to 50 to 100 feet tall. Leaves are red, orange, and yellow in the fall. This tree can be planted in full sun or part shade and prefers well-drained soil.
The Kentucky Coffeetree is a medium- to large-sized, deciduous tree. At maturity, it can be 50-100 feet tall. Leaves are yellow in the fall, and this tree prefers full sun and rich, moist soil.
The tulip tree is a large-sized, deciduous tree At maturity, it can be 50-120 feet tall. In the fall, leaves are yellow, and this tree prefers full sun and well-drained soil.
The black gum is a medium-sized, deciduous tree. At maturity, it can reach 5 to 80 feet tall. Leaves are yellow, orange, red, and purple in the fall. This tree prefers full sun and well-drained soil.
The swamp white oak is a large-sized, deciduous tree. At maturity, it can grow to 50 to 100 feet tall. In the fall, leaves can be yellow, bronze, and red, and the tree prefers full sun and moist soil.
The bur oak is a large-sized, deciduous tree. At maturity, it can reach 50 to 100 feet tall. Leaves are a yellow-brown color in the fall. This tree prefers full sun and can tolerate a variety of soil conditions.
