Stained Glass for Beginners
Maker Playground | $99/person | Ages 18+
Learn the process of creating stained glass from start to finish! This workshop is an opportunity for you to try something you’ve always wondered about without the need to purchase any equipment, tools, or supplies, as we supply everything you will need to create your project. You don’t need any experience, just enthusiasm and a willingness to try something new. We will teach you how to cut glass, apply the copper foil, and solder your piece together. By the end of the class, you will have your very own creation completed and ready to take home with you.
This workshop will be offered at the following dates and times:
- 6 to 8:30 p.m. October 16
- 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. October 17
- 6 to 8:30 p.m. October 19
Intermediate Stained Glass
6 to 8:30 p.m. October 17 & 18 | Maker Playground | $159/person | Ages 18+
This two-day workshop will cover several new topics to expand your knowledge as you create a larger project than in the beginners’ class. During the construction of your piece, we will talk about how to design a pattern and prepare your templates from that pattern, how to use stained glass patina to "color" your solder joints after the project is soldered, and the different methods available to frame your piece. Hand tools will be available for use during class, and supplies are included in the class cost.
PREREQUISITE: Must have completed the Stained Glass for Beginners class OR must have experience with glass cutting, copper foil, and soldering

Supplies (art glass, copper foil, solder) are NOT included and should be brought to the studio by each student. The instructor also will have these items available for purchase, if needed, at the beginning of each session.
